ANSWER: The parts of Maharashtra that grow coconut, betel-nut and mango are Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

3. Mention the dialects of Marathi spoken in your locality.

ANSWER: The dialects spoken in my locality are Konkani and Ahirani.

4. Which river in eastern Maharashtra flows from the north to the south?

ANSWER: The river Koyna in eastern Maharashtra flows from North to South.

5. Which districts in the State grow jowar ?

ANSWER: Jowar is grown in large scale in plateau region of Maharashtra like Ahmadnagar, Pune, Satara, Akola and Yavatmal.

6. Why is the 1st of May celebrated in our State?

ANSWER: The State of Maharashtra was formed on 1st May 1960, hence 1st May is celebrated in our state as Maharashtra Day.
