5. Which districts in the State grow jowar ?

ANSWER: Jowar is grown in large scale in plateau region of Maharashtra like Ahmadnagar, Pune, Satara, Akola and Yavatmal.

6. Why is the 1st of May celebrated in our State?

ANSWER: The State of Maharashtra was formed on 1^st May 1960, hence 1^st May is celebrated in our state as Maharashtra Day.
