1. Validity of Offers
Are the following offers valid?
a) A garment store advertises: “Special Sale Tomorrow Only – Men’s wear reduced from ₹2000 to ₹1000.”
b) P tells Q: “J will sell you a camera.” P owns three different cameras of different prices.
c) An auctioneer displays a painting before bidders in an auction.
2. Doctor Threatening to Disclose Patient’s Information
Dr. Anil, a medical adviser, demands money from Mr. Ram, who refuses. Dr. Anil threatens to reveal confidential information communicated by Ram as a patient.
- Can Mr. Ram sue for an injunction restraining Dr. Anil?
- How many types of injunctions are mentioned under the Specific Relief Act? Explain them.
3. Money Deposited for a Bet
A and B each deposit ₹1 lakh with C to abide by the result of a bet. A wins, but C refuses to pay A.
Can A recover the amount? Give reasons.
4. Singer Falling Ill After Partial Performance
A contracts with B to sing for three nights at B’s theatre for ₹1000 per night. After singing for two nights, she becomes ill.
