Q1. Say where the teacher is when she has these thoughts:

  • At home
  • On her way to school
  • In school

ANSWER: (b) On her way to school

Q2. Answer the following questions:

(a) What work does the teacher do at home?

ANSWER: The teacher does house work, cleaning, cooking. She also gets her children and their tiffins ready for school.

(b) What is the teacher’s homework?

ANSWER: The teacher also has her homework that includes correcting notebooks, test papers. She also does planning to make the lessons interesting and children happy.

(c) What does this teacher think about her students?

ANSWER: The teacher thinks about her students all the time. She finds them to be restless, eager, happy and loving.  

(d) Why does she not feel missing school?

ANSWER:  The teacher loves her students and knows that they are always eager to show her their work. Her praise makes them very happy and they depend on her too much. Hence she does not feel missing school.

Q3. What thoughts do you have on your way to school? Write them down in short.

ANSWER: On myway to school I think about :

  1.  the new lessons which we will learn today
  2. clearing my doubts from yesterday’s class and
  3. games that I will play with my friends.

Q4. Write few lines about your teacher.

ANSWER: My class teacher’s name is Miss. Alice. She is nice and helps me learn new things every day. She explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand. We have fun activities in class, and she always encourages us to do our best. I’m grateful to have such a caring teacher!

Q5. Guess the meaning of “traffic jam”.

ANSWER: A “traffic jam” is when cars and vehicles are stuck and unable to move on the road.
