Verb:
A verb is an action word in a sentence. They are the words that shows some action or a state of being. It talks about what someone or something is doing.

Action Verbs: Run, jump, sing, dance, play, eat.
State of Being Verbs: Am, is, are, was, were.
The verb is like the engine that drives the action or describes what is happening. For example:

“The cat runs fast.” (Action)
“She is happy.” (State of being)
Understanding verbs helps us express actions and states in our sentences.
